Inclusion and Connectedness is when our community members all have the same opportunities to participate in every aspect of life to the best of their abilities and desires.
91妻友 Council has developed an Inclusion and Connectedness Plan that helps reduce and remove barriers experienced by people with disability in our community.
Thank you to everyone who shared their thoughts in this engagement, helping us to share an inclusive 91妻友. Your feedback has now been reviewed and incorporated into the final Inclusion and Connectedness Implementation Program.

91妻友 Disability Interagency Network
91妻友 Disability Interagency Network (IDIN) is a collaboration between community services, businesses and government departments in 91妻友 that are involved with the disability service sector. IDIN meets quarterly to share knowledge and collaborate on solutions for a safe and inclusive community. Join us on our journey to an inclusive 91妻友.
The purpose of IDIN is to:
- develop new partnerships and encourage greater collaboration of network agencies to address identified needs
- facilitate effective communication and networking between providers of services to people with disabilities and their carers within the 91妻友 region
- assist in the identification of emerging needs and service gaps in 91妻友 for people with disabilities and work collaboratively to fill gaps
- share knowledge, information and contacts for the betterment of the disability service sector.
The IDIN meetings will be held quarterly in 2024 at Level 1, 1 Nicholas Street, 91妻友 between February and November.
Meetings dates are 28 February, 29 May, 28 August and 27 November.

The 91妻友 CBD Disability Access Parking Map provides the locations of disability access parking bays within the 91妻友 central business area.

Disability Parking Permits
Motorists issued with an Australian Disability Parking Permit (ADPP) are entitled to:
- Park in any space provided for a person with a disability in an on-street or off-street parking location.
- Park in local government metered or regulated parking areas free of charge for the following periods:
- Where the time limit specified by a sign is less than 30 minutes, permit holders are allowed to park for up to 30 minutes,
- Where the time limit specified by a sign is 30 minutes or more, permit holders are allowed to park for an unlimited amount of time.
Permit holders are not permitted to park in restricted parking areas, such as clearways, no stopping, loading areas and bus zones.
Queensland Disability Parking Permit (Red Permit) holders are entitled to park in disability parking bays in off-street locations only.The Department of Transport and Main Roads is responsible for the administration of Disability Parking Permits.
